Corey Baker

A passion for kokanee fishing

Corey Baker is the man behind Kokanee Krew Outfitters, a guide service dedicated to sharing the excitement of kokanee fishing through education, on-the-water content and real-world experience. Based in Heber, Utah, Corey spends much of his time chasing kokanee on Utah’s Legendary Waters and helping other anglers do the same.

With years of experience on the water, Corey has developed a deep understanding of what it takes to consistently find and catch kokanee. Through Kokanee Krew, he shares fishing reports, tips and detailed breakdowns of the tactics and gear that produce fish. His goal is simple: help more people experience the thrill of kokanee fishing.

Corey represents Rocky Mountain Tackle because he believes in quality tackle, innovation and a shared mission to help anglers catch more kokanee.

How Corey approaches kokanee

The goal isn’t just to catch a fish. It’s to understand why you’re catching them.

Find the fish

Understand depth, temperature, structure and conditions.

Build the right presentation

Match your dodger, lure, leader and speed to the conditions.

Adapt

When the fish aren’t responding, change something.
